Candle Colors Can Be The Success Of Failure Of Your Candles

For successful candle colors, think about the shape of your candle, how your are going to display them and how you are going to embellish them. Do you want your candle to be a bright primary color or a very soft pastel. Determine what candle scents you are going to use for that particular candle color.

If you are making chunk or layered candles, you need to select colors that work well together. You can use primary colors for some but also think all of the other glorious colors that can be mixed.

Try mixing red, blue and a touch of black far a deep burgundy. You only need blue, yellow and pink to be able to make all the colors of the rainbow. If you add black you can have all the darker shades.

Adding your dye to the wax. Measure the amount of dye you need for the quantity of wax you are using. Stir the dye into the wax when it is melted. Stir well until all streakiness has disappared.

Dyes come in many beautiful colors and can be mixed to create colors of your own. Adding less dye than suggested on the label will provide lighter colors. You can add black with your colors for a lovely muted shade. Please remember that you will not see the true color until the wax has hardened, so cool a small test sample first.
