How To Make A Scrapbook Picture Frame With Scrapebook Paper

Make a scrapbook picture frame for that very special person in your life. I made the one pictured here for two of my Granddaughters.

What you will need for this project.
  • A picture frame that you can get at your craft store
  • Your choice of scrapbook paper
  • Tacky glue
  • Wood alphabet letters
  • Flowers of your choice (either dried or silk).
Now, let's put it together

With the scrapbook paper of your choice, lay your picture frame face down on the back of the paper. Trace around the outside and inside of the frame onto the paper. Carefully cut on the lines. Once you have cut the paper out make sure that it fits the frame. There is nothing worse that gluing the paper on and then you see that it doesn’t quite fit (I have done that). Always make sure that it fits.

Apply the tacky glue to the picture frame and then put the paper on top. Turn it over and make sure that the scrapbook paper is even all the way around.

Paint your letters to match the scrapbook paper. Lay the wood letters on the frame the way you want them. Apply glue to the individual letters and glue them down.

Lay out your flowers in the design that you like. You can use tacky glue or else glue dots. I really like to use glue dots that you get at craft stores (they are very inexpensive and easy to use). On the picture above I used fabric flowers and then small gems in the middle of them.

There are so many different scrapbook papers that you can use. You can get just about any subject that you want. Have fun playing around with the different papers and see what you can come up with.

If you have any questions or arts and crafts ideas please contact me and I will add it to my site.
