Tin Can Crafts Can Be Made Into Anything From Flower Pots To Candleholders

Tin can crafts are great for the earth because you are recycling the cans into usable objects. They can be a simple flowerpot or wind chimes. They make great candleholders for your patio.

I will tell you how to make a hanging flower holder for dried flowers that add to your home décor. All you need is a tin can, some ribbon or raffia and dried flowers.

Cut both ends out of your can. Wash the can and dry it completely. You need to make two holes in the back. You can either drill them with a drill or use a hammer and nail. If you use a hammer and nail you will need to sand the holes so that they don’t scratch your wall.

Bend one end on the can. I have found the best way is to step gently on the end. When you step on the end it will close the can and then you can then slightly bend the rest of the can up to the top. You want the top bent in a little bit but not to much.

Now then you can decorate the planter. You can paint it any color to match your décor. I then like to take an accent color and make some little wavy lines on it or else paint some kind of design on them.

Use ribbon, wire or raffia to make the hanger. I like to use raffia because it fits my décor the best. You can use florist foam or Styrofoam to put in the top of the can and then use your dried flowers to make your arrangement.

These tin can crafts made into flowerpots are great gift ideas. You can personalize them any way you want for that special person.

Just take your time and your creativity will show through your own designs. Have fun making your own tin can crafts!!

If you have found a unique way to use tin cans or have any tips and want to share it please contact me and I will add it here. Also, if you have any questions I will try and answer them or find someone who can.
